Tell us about your experience in the fitness world.
Growing up with a love for extreme sports, I decided to explore the world of fitness after graduating from university. Soon after starting my Personal Training journey in 2019, I’ve had the opportunity to work with many unique athletes with a variety of different fitness goals. I live and work in London, splitting my time between Motosumo, private clients, and some of London's top boutique studios.

I specialise in what I call 'longevity fitness.' This means that I help clients move as best as they can, for as long as they can. Think of it as bulletproofing your body for life so that my clients feel their wins (whether big or small) every single day.

Who is your hero, and why?
There are so many people I admire; those who are doing amazing things for the world. It's so hard to narrow it down to just one. I admire anyone who makes use of their platform or authority and is a voice for good. Those who are a  voice for people who can't speak for themselves, these are my heroes.

Tell us about your experience in the fitness world.
Growing up, I was always a sporty kid. I participated in all kinds of sports, including track and field, basketball, football, cheerleading, volleyball and cycling. You name it, I've probably done it. When I got older, I moved away from fitness a bit to focus on life. After that, in 2018, I was ready to come back to fitness. I joined Malaysia's first boutique cycling studio as an instructor. Four years later, we've opened nine studios across Malaysia to be the biggest boutique fitness brand in the country! I've taught over 700 cycling and Versaclimber classes, and I've made my way up the ladder to become the Head of Programs. And I feel like I'm just getting started!

Just do what you love, and everything else will fall into place.

Guillermo Salazar

Tell us about your experience in the fitness world.
Fitness has always been my passion since Teenager, but during my university years, with very little time on my hands, I had to put physical activity on hold. I pursued two university degrees, one in Systems Engineering and another as Bachelor Administration. After graduating, I was able to refocus on my passion for indoor cycling and CrossFit, incorporating workouts into my office routine.

With a commitment to continuous learning, I delved into ways to enhance my training and nutrition. This led me to acquire numerous certifications, including Personal Trainer, Spinning Level 3 Instructor, and various workshops on Hiit and kettlebell training. Initially, I gained this knowledge for personal improvement, but a spark ignited, prompting me to teach. Twelve years ago, I started teaching as a second job, heading to the gym after leaving the office. To my surprise, over time, I left my office job entirely to become a full-time personal trainer and indoor cycling coach. Today, I have the privilege of guiding over 200 individuals from more than 8 countries in my daily workouts.

Amâncio Santos

Entering the world of fitness turned out to be something very natural as my whole life has been linked to sport. I practiced high-competition athletics in the 110m hurdles, something I still do today in the master category.

After graduating in Physical Education, I soon moved into the gym sector, working as a Personal Trainer and group class instructor since 2001.

I have had the opportunity to work with various client profiles, which has given me the possibility of having enriching experiences and learning a little from everyone who crosses my path.

I live in Lisbon and divide my time between Personal Training sessions in gyms, clinics, private clients and now with Motosumo.

I stay connected to cross training, indoor and outdoor cycling, hyrox, bootcamps and various fitness events as a main organizer.

Another of my passions is also providing training to future fitness professionals, both in the areas of training and fitness management.

Oliver Frandsen

Tell us about your experience in the fitness world.
Throughout childhood, I was a pretty high-level soccer and ice hockey player. At around 15, I became really interested in lifting weights. By 18, I was at my strongest and heaviest, and I started training for a marathon. After that, the rest is history. I was hooked. My marathon results were pretty good, but things really started moving quickly once I did my first Ironman. I placed 2nd and qualified for the world championships in Hawaii.

Since then, triathlons have been a huge part of my life. Not only have I committed myself to triathlon training, I’ve been able to help train beginner triathletes to reach their true potential.

Describe your class in 3 words.
Energetic, fun, effective.

What gets you up in the morning?
Self-development. Working to get a little better everyday, both as a human and athlete. Small steps will get you there.

Who is your hero and why?
I absolutely love David Goggins. He’s such a badass. For me, he is the definition of what you can achieve with working hard and never giving up. It’s not about the cards you were dealt, but your attitude towards life. I try my best to live by that. I might fail miserably sometimes, but that’s totally okay.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
Never stop. In Ironman racing, we always tell each other never to stop completely. Walk or crawl, just don’t stop. I feel like that’s also an attitude towards life. Never settle for average, but always strive to be a better version of yourself. Walking can get you there - maybe not as fast - but you will get there.
